About the Network

Seeding Earth tracks five of the world's most impactful reforestation projects in real time. By 2050 the network aims to have planted 1.5 billion trees, restored 1.94 million hectares of degraded land, and removed 50.1 million tonnes of CO₂ from the atmosphere every year.

Trees for People · Started 1995 · Target 2036 · Full regeneration using microorganisms from Earth's most ancient ecosystems. 2.1 million tonnes CO₂ per year.

Amazon Living Forest — Amazon, Brazil

Amazon Conservation Alliance · Started 2012 · Target 2050 · 42 million trees planted alongside 47 indigenous nations. 28 million tonnes CO₂ per year.

Biobonds — North Island, New Zealand

Biobonds · Started 2020 · Target 2048 · 800,000 trees restoring ancient podocarp forests. 3.8 million tonnes CO₂ per year.

Great Outback Canopy — Queensland, Australia
